The Belgian producer fast-tracks his latest release after major fan demand, marking the first Pegassi track to feature his own vocals.
Amsterdam, Friday, June 26 - Pegassi harnesses the speed of summer with his brand new single “Slow Down,” out today via Sweet Nothing following overwhelming demand from fans. Written, teased, and quickly pushed into release after a huge response online, the track marks a more personal step in the Belgian producer’s fast-evolving sound, featuring his own recorded vocals for the first time. Move fast, as Pegassi's “Slow Down” is available now on streaming platforms worldwide.
“Slow Down” sits right in the pocket of Pegassi’s current creative streak: sharp, melodic, rave-minded, and brimming with detail. The track walks a thin line between breaks, rave, and trance aesthetics, welcoming listeners with an immersive broken-beat rhythm before evolving into a driving 4/4 finish. Its piano melody adds an element of captivating bliss, while the first use of Pegassi’s own vocals add a more personal flare to the production. Beneath it all, a purring-yet-bouncing bassline delivers more than enough width for even the most demanding club floors.
With the May arrival of “Upclose” still fresh, the new single adds another jolt of dancefloor adrenaline to Pegassi’s summer. Fast-tracked by the energy around its online teaser, the track lands in step with his FLUID show at Interference in Toulouse, before his ongoing international tour carries him through Germany, Hong Kong, and Singapore, then back to the Netherlands for Awakenings Festival on July 10. With his summer calendar moving at full speed, “Slow Down” arrives at a moment when Pegassi is doing anything but.
